Effective July 8, 2026
Instant Chef has no accounts, no ads, no trackers, and no analytics. We do not build profiles of you and we do not sell data. The only information that ever leaves your device is what's needed to generate your recipe or answer your cooking question.
When you request a recipe or chat with Chef Nani, the app sends your inputs — your meal, cuisine, spice, serving and dietary selections, the optional photo of your ingredients, and your chat messages — to our server, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response. Anthropic processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Nothing. Our server holds no database and keeps no copies of your photos, preferences, or conversations; it only relays requests. Your current recipe and chat live in the app's memory on your device and are discarded when you start a new recipe.
Ingredient photos are used solely to identify what's in your kitchen for the recipe you requested. They are sent for that one request and are not saved by us. The app only accesses photos you explicitly choose or take.
Instant Chef is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
